READING in Rhythm™ FAQ 

1. Will my insurance cover READING in Rhythm™?
Yes. You must receive a prescription from a doctor and have been diagnosed with a speech or language disorder. Insurance companies will only play for therapy prescribed by a doctor.

2. Do I need a script for speech therapy?
Yes. It is not required if you are paying privately and want tutoring or extra help. At this time, Therapy Beat is only accepting patients prescribed by a doctor or Nurse Practitioner.

3. Can my child attend READING in Rhythm™ even if he/she hasn’t been diagnosed with a disability?
No. New classes are being designed for students who want to enhance their reading ability but do not have a disability. Please stay tuned to our website as those programs will be offered in the near future.

4. What is the cost of READING in Rhythm™?
For those whom their insurance does not pay for therapy, the cost is $25 for a 90-minute group session and $45 for a 30-minute individual session.

5. What is the cost for an evaluation?
The cost for a Language/Reading Evaluation is $125-$150.

6. Is READING in Rhythm™ only for dyslexia?
No. READING in Rhythm™ is currently used for the treatment of dyslexia, ADHD, Autism, Pragmatic Disorders, Auditory Processing Disorders, Coordination Disorders, and Oral Motor/Tone Disorders.

7. Can students get one-on-one therapy?
Yes. Often kids with severe disorders will start one to one and work their way to a group. The group sessions are fun and social so, if there is no need for one to one it is recommended to take part in the group sessions.

8. Can my child only attend during the summer?
Yes. After parent notification of ending therapy your child will be discharged. Your child can begin at a later date with a new prescription from the doctor to continue speech services.

9. How many nights a week should I attend?
The program is designed to attend two 90-minute sessions a week and a home program can be quickly designed for daily practice.
